The Twa Dogs
Based in Madison, Wisconsin, The Twa Dogs are Cindy Cameron-Fix on whistle and concertina; and Dale Fix on accordion, guitar and vocals. They play traditional folk music from the Celtic regions--Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Brittany--but they focus on Cindy's ancestral homeland of Scotland. Their energetic arrangements are all original and occasionally a self-penned tune can slip into a set. They love finding obscure old tunes and giving them new life, and their down-to-earth commentary is historical, geographical and cultural. Their name, "The Twa Dogs," is the title of a poem by Robert Burns.
The Twa Dogs love to play in small venues---libraries, coffee houses, community centers, private events and house concerts.
